Are you new here?
If you are looking for the One Piece anime episodes,
everything is under the Downloads section. There you'll find
Bittorrent, Direct Download and XDCC.
We offer you both softsubs and hardsubs.
If you don't know the difference, you have some
reading to do.
Mind you that we are an Open Source Fansubbing
group, so you can help us by translating
One Piece into your language, it's easy.
If you want to contact us or know who we
are, click here.
Another serving of digressive babble (+recruiting) EDIT: we filled the position, thanks to all the ppl who applied anyway. Your offer for help are always appreciated.
Nothing here is important for the general public, so this is pretty safe to ignore. And since I've warned you I'm gonna bore you to death..
1) This is probably only important to you if you are a nitpicker or translating our releases to other languages.
From now on we won't re-release Vanillas with errata, because it's trivial to download an updated script, and that saves us from having a torrent re-seeded and all.
The obsolete Vanillas will be flagged with a red icon instead of a purple one in the download section. This means that if you are about to download a Vanilla, and you see a red icon, you can still watch it - however, if you want the latest errata fixed, you should get the script and watch it with the Vanilla or the raw (they are the exact same video except for the container, but you probably want to go with Vanilla since they're better seeded).
Anyway, if we find important enough errata, we'll announce it and then flag the Vanilla; for unimportant errata, we'll just silently flag it. Basically we call important errata something that alters the meaning or that significantly affects the watching experience, and unimportant errata are things like a misused comma (that doesn't alter the meaning) and details like that. For example, 377 is flagged but I haven't announced it, since it's just about a misused comma and the credits that were missing.
2) To softsub re-translators/contributors: the translator's zone has been restored (it hasn't been working the last week).
3) Also, we'll soon have a recruitment thread, but I guess I can save time by saying now that we will soon have a position open as an encoding arranger.
You need to have a decent upload stream (you will be uploading big files after all); experience encoding things with meGUI (if you dont know we can teach you in 5 minutes) and be good at using After Effects (this is the important part). The person in this position won't be doing any creative work, but you need to be familiar with the encoding part of AE.
The reason that we'll soon have this position open is that Hedi is still helping us with this batch's arrangement, but he's actually retired. It's a very fun position (it isn't as soul-burning as other ones) and we are very nice people (if you dont get us wet).
So, if you are good with AE, fulfill the bandwidth requirement and would like to be part of the team, don't hesitate to apply. To apply, send me a PM. Don't answer in this thread.
4) Since people are always asking, we are now working on the final retouches of 340-348. With regards to Vanillas, expect 378-380 next week. After that there's the 349-355 batch encodings with almost all the attacks done (needs general typesetting and some artwork to be drawn, which is why we are releasing 340-348 first). The work remaining in 349-355 though is very trivial. Posted by Kuzan 8 days, 23 hours ago 377 Vanilla/Script Released Bam, in your face. Posted by Kuzan 9 days, 12 hours ago 376 Vanilla/Script Released 377 shortly. Posted by Kuzan 9 days, 13 hours ago Important errata in 375 Shit happened in the muxing of 375 and the script used in that vanilla sucked, however vanillas aren't important enough to make a rerelease because you can just get the updated script. So if you care about that stuff and didn't watch 375 yet, you should get the latest script (it's a v12) and watch it with the raw or the vanilla (yes, you can name the script the same as the vanilla as you would with a raw and the new script will be used instead). This is a half spoiling summary about what was wrong: And I'll use this time to remind you that there's an errata thread somewhere on the forum for that kind of stuff, any mistake in a vanilla/script that is reported will get fixed for the encoding so contributions are very appreciated. Posted by Kuzan 11 days, 9 hours ago General Update + Vanilla/Script Release 373-375 Hi there, little friends. I'm sorry this took such a long time, these episodes have been almost ready for a long time thanks to the work of everybody. However, I myself have been unable to attend to fansubbing lately so you can blame me, cause i just didn't have time to do my part. There are more like this in the same status, I'm just getting these out of the way.
376-377 vanillas just need final check and retouches so expect them very shortly.
About the encodings there's a batch that's actually done (340-348) and they just need a final check (1 day), then some issues will be found and will have to be fixed (+2 days) then reencoded again (+2 days) then we realize a mistake and have to re-fix and reencode (+3 days*n times) and of course this all depends on availability of the members participating in the process so yeah... we are looking at a deadline that I would call short-medium term and I can't be more precise than that. Personally I'm hoping for 7 days, but im a dreamer; sometimes i get it right, though!
Edit: It seems somebody didn't notice this is also a release of Vanilla 373-375, since I only mentioned it in the title, so just in case: this is also a release of Vanilla 373-375~ Posted by Kuzan 11 days, 22 hours ago 371,372 Vanilla/Script release Just getting these out of the way; 373-375 will follow shortly, we just have some issues with the opening song timing and the raw for 374 sucked so we got another one and now we need to recheck the timing... So yeah probably tomorrow or something.
Also, we are finishing a medium-sized batch of encodings atm, expect it pretty soon. Posted by Kuzan 1 month, 15 days ago Vegapunk in the future Right, this is probably going to end up a little long, so bare with me.
I'd like to thank the people for voting and commenting in the previous thread. There are some things I wish to explain about that first, though. The result is roughly 1/3 for quick and current encodes and the other 2/3 for encoding slowly and not skipping anything. This is roughly what we expected.
The majority of the people still frequenting our news posts are most likely here in the hope of finding an encode to put into their collection, as was mentioned often. Please do keep in mind that the people that are out for quick releases aren't likely to visit here anymore, let alone comment on it. This, roughly estimated, should make the results very close.
We do this for fun. A very large part of that fun is made possible by the vast amounts of people enjoying our work. Now, fact is, doing old encodes simply wont yield the same response as doing the most recent episode would. To keep ourselves motivated by releasing episodes that don't get downloaded a lot or go straight into an archive is difficult to say the least.
Because of this we've made a choice based on both the opinions of the public and of our own.
Simply put, we're going to race Vanilla to the finish line first, this is hardly news. During this race, we will also be doing encodes as fast as possible. How fast that is, we'll have to wait and see. This mainly depends on The Master, as 90% of the remaining work after a Vanilla release is the effects we've all grown to like.
In a few months (or more.) we'll reach the finish line. The encode will be behind a fair bit. At this stage we're going to focus on hardsubbing/encoding the newest episodes. We do not, however, plan to leave the 'gap'. Any time that is left after encoding that week's episode will be put into the older episodes.
Vanillapunk releases won't stop. They will however be altered to offer a more proper bridge between the simple raw+script and 'true' hardsub/encode. This is vague because we haven't decided on it fully yet.
That's it. We're aware this wont please everyone, but that's simply impossible. We do hope most of you can agree to this solution. Posted by Marco 1 month, 19 days ago Full-fledged Encodings Roadmap Poll This poll is pretty self-explanatory so I'll just make a couple of annotations:
- "Encodings" refer to the releases with pretty attack effects and karaokes, where we are currently at episode 339 (with a batch release soon up to episode 355). This doesn't affect Vanillas or scripts, we'll continue doing both as usual. - If we are able to mantain our current pace with the vanillas/scripts - and Cornman has assured me that he will be able to translate these 25 episodes quickly - we will be up to date with the ones aired in Japan at episode 410 or so. The question is whether to skip the encodings up to that point, when that time comes, since we won't catch up with them for at least a year at this pace. - The result of this poll isn't definite, we are just trying to get an idea of what people would prefer in order to make a decision. - If this is confusing, please ask. And just in case: no, we are not taking any kind of break; we are just talking about whether to skip to current episodes or not, with regards to full-fledged encodings only.
